Format

I've tried a few formats for "team workshops," like six weekly sessions or one full day.

I noticed that two sessions with two weeks in between work best because participants can 1) digest what was covered in the first session, 2) ship real stuff before the second session, and 3) face minimum disruption in their schedule.

The "shipping real stuff" part is a game-changer because I challenge them to create something so their audience sees it; it makes them feel what it takes to stand the f*ck out, and it's very addictive.

A typical schedule looks like this:

  • 1st session: finding a unique position in the market (Unique Positioning) and building a brand that people can't ignore (Distinctive Brand - Part 1)

  • 2-week challenge: shipping something (a marketing social media campaign, a landing page, or something else) that customers will see

  • 2nd session: learnings from the two-week challenge, building a brand that people can't ignore (Distinctive Brand - Part 2), reaching as many of the right people as possible (Continuous Reach + Systems)
